It’s not only about the color or texture, it’s about resonance of it with body when one moves. Ask a fitness freak, choosing the right pair of shoe is way beyond regular color and weight schematics. Often underrated in the large scheme of things; the right pair of shoe can make a world of difference to your training routine.
Unless you are going to run a marathon or spend large proportion of time on running, cushioning cannot be the only parameter to choose the right pair. While the extra base helps reduce stress on hard surface, it provides instability on when lifting weights.
Here is my list of top 5 training shoes:-
Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35
From Pegasus 33, 34(that was not so good), 35; I have personally used all these models and loved the fit. If you have ever used Nike Zoom Air elite, you might find few aspects almost similar. The shoe is a perfect do-it-all workhorse trainer for seasoned professionals who run daily as well as occasional runner.
2. New balance Minimus 40
The brand recently made an entrance into the India Market and is giving a run for money to the Nike/Reebok legacy. Versatility is the first word that comes to mind when we talk about Minimus. The shoe works great with crossfit workouts, weight training and Running. Retailing at almost half the price of a Nike the shoe is surely worth a look before your next buy.
3. Asics Gel-Cumulus 20
Novak Djokovic endorsed Asics is slowly growing its foot hold in the south Asian market. The shoe can easily be termed as the perfect size shoe. The shoe has decent amount of mid-sole cushioning and works well with almost all routine workouts. Since the entry very few negative opinions have surrounded this model, and this makes the model a must watch for your next buy.
4.Reebok CROSSFIT Nano 8.0
Good, Decent, Difficult to find. Apparently the Reebok online store in India seems to be out of sizes of this product. A true to size measurement Nano 8.0 is a significant improvement from 7.0 and a must check before your next purchase. While the online retail fluctuates the price from 6500-7500, the Reebok store has it for 9100 Retail.
5. Nike Metcon 4
Metcon being in the list is not because I use Nike, the shoe deserves a recognition basis metcon 3 performance. Nike Metcon 4 is just a thinner, lighter, breathable upper mesh as compared to heavier duty mesh of Metcon 3. Metcon 4 has come out in typical nike stye of color waves and is being retailed in Indian market at around 13000-15000 INR. Heads Up, the shoe squeaks in mid-sole and nothing has changed in this problem from Metcon 1,2,3 and now 4.
The list if just 5, while the market is flooded with brands and innovation.
